Typhoon Odette has intensified rapidly, and the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace is in solidarity with the Philippine authorities

One of the world’s strongest storms of 2021 is bearing down on the Philippines threatening millions of people with destructive winds and flash floods. Typhoon Odette that has intensified rapidly in the past hours, with a death report toll stands at 31, while thousands of families are still recovering from devastating storms, floods and COVID-19 in the past year.


The Global Council for Tolerance and Peace offered its deepest condolences and solidarity to the families of the victims and extended its sympathy to all affected by this catastrophe as well as its solidarity with the Philippine authorities, with which the council stands ready to help and support to face the consequences of this tragedy.

The president of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, H.E. Ahmed bin Mohamed Al Jarwan said : “My deepest condolences are with the bereaved and I sincerely pray for the speedy recovery of the affected people as well as the prompt restoration of the affected areas.”
