The President of the Republic of Uruguay receives Al-Jarwan and affirms his support for the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace

President of the Republic of Uruguay, His Excellency Mr. Luis Lacalle Pou, received President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, His Excellency Ahmed bin Muhammad Al Jarwan at the presidential palace in the Uruguayan capital, Montevideo, in the presence of the delegation of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, consisting of Colombian Member of Parliament Karina Esponosa Oliver, and Brazilian Member of Parliament Vicente Da Silva, member of the Ecuadorian parliament, Marjorie Javez, member of the Uruguayan parliament, Sebastian Cal, the representative of the Council in South America, Mr. Gustavo Acosta, and UAE ambassador to Argentina, His Excellency Saeed Abdullah Al Qamzi.

His Excellency the President of Uruguay welcomed Al-Jarwan and his accompanying delegation, affirming his country’s support for the directions of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace and its objectives aimed at promoting tolerance and peace, indicating his country’s readiness to cooperate with the Council in all fields in order to support peace, combat terrorism and extremism, and support peaceful coexistence, stability and development around the world.
For his part, Al-Jarwan thanked the President of Uruguay for the generous hospitality and good reception, praising Uruguay’s support for peace and development efforts around the world, stressing the Council’s endeavor to work with those concerned in Uruguay in order to unify international efforts aimed at promoting tolerance, peaceful coexistence, development and peace.
