The Global Council for Tolerance and Peace stresses the importance of promoting a culture of tolerance in societies

His Excellency Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Jarwan, President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, stressed the importance of Common cooperation to promote a culture of tolerance.

In a statement issued on the International Day for Tolerance, observed annually on November 16, Al Jarwan emphasized the increasing necessity of adhering to the principles of tolerance to counter hate speech.

H.E Highlights points within his statement and commended the Document on Human Fraternity for its crucial role in instilling the values of tolerance within societies.Al Jarwan emphasized the need for stronger international efforts to resolve conflicts, put an end to violations of international and humanitarian law, and strive for global harmony.

He also reiterated the Council’s belief in cooperation as the key to eradicating discrimination, preventing division, and fostering inclusive societiesThe council urged governments and civil society organizations worldwide to strengthen collaborative efforts to promote tolerance as a cornerstone for achieving peace and harmony within communities, as to embrace diversity, understand differences, and foster intercultural dialogue to ensure sustained understanding and peace.

Finally, Al Jarwan stressed the importance of collective efforts to build bridges of communication between peoples, promoting tolerance and peace on both regional and global levels.
