Global Council for Tolerance and Peace Commends Malta’s Plan to Recognize the State of Palestine

Malta – The Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, led by its President H.E. Ahmed bin Mohammed Aljarwan, has warmly welcomed the recent announcement by H.E. Angelo Farrugia, Speaker of the Maltese House of Representatives, expressing Malta’s intention to officially recognize the State of Palestine this coming September.

President Aljarwan praised Malta’s principled and courageous stance, describing it as a significant step toward promoting justice, peace, and the rights of peoples to self-determination. He further applauded the Maltese Parliament for its ongoing collaboration with the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace in advancing shared goals of mutual understanding and global stability.

Headquartered in Malta, the Council works closely with Maltese institutions to foster a culture of tolerance and dialogue across borders. Aljarwan emphasized that Malta’s decision reflects its deep commitment to peaceful diplomacy and its rejection of armed conflict and the use of force as means to resolve disputes.
