The Global Council for Tolerance and Peace expresses its concern over the evolved situation between Ukraine and Russia
The President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, His Excellency Ahmed bin Mohamed Al Jarwan, expressed his deep concern about the current conflict between Russia and Ukraine, calling for dialogue and negotiation to prevail over war and destruction. In his statement today, Saturday, February 26, 2022, Al Jarwan urged the international community through the governments and the institutional frameworks, to make their best efforts to establish international peace and security, and to not give any chance to any “sedition” that might drop humanity into wars. Al Jarwan stressed that “peace and tolerance” are the core of stability, security, coexistence, prosperity, development and wealth, highlighting the need to adhere to them in order to protect the peoples of the whole world. Al Jarwan called on the international and the regional players to stay calm and take into account that dialogue is the best solution to avoid human and material losses, calling for neutralizing the use of force between countries when reaching controversial issues and working to settle them through dialogue and negotiation. The President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace also wished the Ukrainian people and all humanity safety from any harm, calling for taking into account the difficult conditions in Ukraine and providing the necessary humanitarian aid.
