The Global Council for Tolerance and Peace and the Tajik Parliament agree to cooperate and to work jointly

The president of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, H.E. Ahmed bin Mohamed Al Jarwan, and the head of the Literature Committee and the Emirati Tajik Friendship Committee in the Tajik Parliament, H.E. Mr. Barotzoda Fayzullo, held a virtual meeting via Zoom on Tuesday the 27th of April 2021. The meeting was attended by the Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to the UAE, Amb. Bahadur Sharifi,  and a number of members of the Tajik Parliament and the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace.

Mr. Fayzullopraised the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace and its International Parliament for their efforts in unifying parliamentary efforts around the world in order to promote and spread the culture of tolerance and peace. He also praised the contributions and the support provided by the Council to the country members in the parliament during the Corona pandemic.

On behalf of the President of the Tajik Parliament, Mr. Fayzulloextended his sincere acknowledgements to the United Arab Emirates for its great support and assistance to his country during the Corona pandemic, appreciating the strength of the relationship between Tajikistan and the UAE.

The Head of the Friendship Committee of the Tajik Parliament affirmed the wish of his country’s parliament to strengthen bilateral relations with the International Parliament for Tolerance and Peace and to sign a memorandum of cooperation and joint work and set a framework for the relationship between the two parties, so that the Tajik parliament will be designated as an official member of the International Parliament for Tolerance and Peace. He also invited the President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace to visit the Tajik parliament and sign the memorandum after Ramadan.

For his part, Al-Jarwan praised the fruitful cooperation with the Tajik parliament, stressing the council’s wish to strengthen relations with many national parliaments, in order to spread the values ​​of tolerance and peace all over the world. Al-Jarwan also marked the importance of transferring the experience and expertise and conveying the voice of the Tajik people in the areas of tolerance and peace in all international forums, which will be achieved through the representative of the Tajik Parliament in the International Parliament for Tolerance and Peace.
