GCTP suspends its meetings till further notice, hails measures to tackle coronavirus
The Global Council for Tolerance and Peace (GCTP) has expressed full support for the global work which is performed by international and national authorities in all parts of the world for stopping the spread of the Coronavirus “Covid-19”.
President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace (GCTP) Ahmad bin Mohammad Aljarwan lauded the efforts exerted by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the governments all around the world for containing this health crisis which is facing the world.
Aljarwan underlined the importance of adhering to the instructions of the World Health Organization on limiting the gatherings, taking the sterilization procedures and washing hands, in addition to avoiding everything that would increase the spread of the virus.
Aljarwan also praised the precautionary measures taken by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in this context, which have been in line with the instructions of the World Health Organization (WHO), through limiting the gatherings, allowing remote work, sterilizing and disinfecting various facilities, and postponing events and conferences till overcoming this health risk.
He hailed the great medical preparations and the excellent health care provided by the state, stressing that such responsible policies would, God willing, limit the spread of this disease around the world and we all must abide by them, wishing that everyone in all parts of the world would enjoy a good health and overcome this crisis as soon as possible.
In line with the exerted efforts to contain and overcome this growing health threat, the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace (GCTP) has suspended its meetings all over the world until further notice, in accordance with instructions and advice of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the national health authorities in all the countries where meetings and sessions of the International Parliament for Tolerance and Peace (IPTP) and the General Assembly of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace (GCTP) are held.
