The President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, Ahmed bin Mohamed Al Jarwan mourns the Moroccan Child, Rayan, who passed away last night Saturday after falling down in a well in Chefchaouen, Morocco, despite the diligent attempts to rescue him.
In his statement in that regard, Al Jarwan said, “On behalf of the GCTP and all its members and partners across the world, we convey our condolences and sympathy to Rayan’s parents, HM King Mohammed VI, the King of the Kingdom of Morocco, Moroccan government and people, and all peoples worldwide, which have unified expressing their sympathy with the deceased child crisis, praying to Allah, Almighty, to comfort his parents and family and grant them patience and solace.. Surely to Allah we belong and to Him we will ˹all˺ return.”
Al Jarwan has praised the efforts of the Kingdom of Morocco by instructions of HM King Mohammed VI – May Allah save him – the King of the sisterly Kingdom of Morocco, in addition to the courageous sacrifice and strenuous efforts of the rescue teams and various specialized personnel in Morocco to rescue the Moroccan Child, Rayan, for whom Allah foreordains death; Surely to Allah we belong and to Him we will ˹all˺ return, praying to Allah to gather him with his family in His eternal peace.
The President of the GCTP has stated that Rayan crisis has showed the unity of peoples around the world and their humanitarian solidarity and sympathy. Furthermore, Al Jarwan has emphasized that solidarity of various peoples around the world with Rayan crisis – may Allah have mercy on him – signifies all humankind unity on which the GCTP works to show and enhance.
