Agila Saleh and Al Jarwan sign a memorandum of understanding between the Libyan House of Representatives and the International Parliament for Tolerance and Peace in Al Qubbah
The International Parliament for Tolerance and Peace, one of the organs of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, signed a memorandum of understanding and joint work with the Libyan House of Representatives, with the aim of strengthening cooperation and joint work in spreading the values of tolerance and peace around the world.
The agreement was signed by the President of the Libyan House of Representatives, His Excellency Agila Saleh, and the President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, His Excellency Ahmed bin Mohamed Al Jarwan, in the Libyan city of Al-Qubbah.
The memorandum of understanding aims to enhance further cooperation and joint work between the International Parliament for Tolerance and Peace and the Libyan Parliament with the aim of bonding parliamentary efforts to raise and spread the values of tolerance and peace around the world, and according to the agreement, the Libyan House of Representatives is considered as a member of the International Parliament for Tolerance and Peace.
The president of the Libyan house of Representatives, His Excellency Agila Saleh, , praised the role of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace in joining all international efforts to support and spread the values of tolerance around the world, stressing that the agreement came at the right time to strengthen and support the peace process in Libya.
Saleh valued the pioneering and leadership role provided by the United Arab Emirates in the fields of tolerance and peace and the support of the Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi – may God protect him , His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, – for the movement of tolerance and peace in the region and the world at large, indicating that the UAE has become a universal symbol of tolerance, love and peaceful coexistence.
For his part, Al-Jarwan thanked the Speaker of the Libyan House of Representatives for the hospitality and good reception, presenting some of the work provided by the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace in the areas of spreading tolerance and peace and its efforts in combating intolerance and extremism, at the parliamentary, educational and media levels, through its two main organs, the International Parliament for Tolerance and Peace And the General Assembly for Tolerance and Peace.
