His Excellency P. Macky Sall, the President of Senegal, received H.E. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al jarwan, the president of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace (GCTP), and his accompanying delegation at the Presidential Palace of Senegal in Dakar. The delegation included H.E Mr. Baba Sana Mbaye, the Senegalese Parliament Member and the Member of the International Parliament for Tolerance and Peace (IPTP) and H.E Mr. Khaled Al Mahmoud, the advisor to the President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace (GCTP).
H.E. President of Senegal welcomed and praised the role of the GCTP and its achievements in unifying the international efforts to support tolerance and peace all over the world and its initiatives to spread and promote the values of tolerance and peace in all communities to reach a future of prosperity and security. The two sides discussed the possibility of establishing a representative office of the GCTP in the Senegalese capital, Dakar. H.E. President of Senegal welcomed such initiative and expressed his support of the GCTP role and work.
For his part, H.E. Al jarwan reviewed the latest developments and projects conducted by the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, its International Parliament (IPTP), and its General Assembly (GATP), praising the efforts and role of the leadership and people of Senegal in supporting the values of peace and the initiatives of tolerance and peaceful coexistence, stressing the positive impact of Senegal on its African and regional spatial, which enhanced the importance of opening a regional office for the Council in Senegal.
