Vice President of the International Cooperation Committee of the Spanish Parliament receives the President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace GCTP

The Vice-Chairman of the International Cooperation Committee of the Spanish House of Representatives, H.E. Gabriel Elorriaga Pesarek, received, at the headquarters of the Spanish Parliament, the President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, His Excellency Ahmed bin Mohamed AlJarwan, and the Spanish Representative praised AlJarwan’s participation in the activities of the International Conference on Charitable and Voluntary Works held in Madrid on February 28, 2022 AD He also praised the prominent role played by the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace and its various organs – the General Assembly and the International Parliament for Tolerance and Peace IPTP – in supporting international cooperation and the work of parliaments and local parliaments in various countries of the world in order to promote the values and culture of love, peace, tolerance and peaceful coexistence. The Spanish official stressed that the council’s efforts have become tangible and are evident in the keenness of world institutions, parliaments, civil society, universities and academic centers in those countries to build partnerships and sign memoranda of understanding and cooperation with the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace and its main bodies.
AlJarwan thanked the Spanish official for the warm reception in the House of Representatives of the Kingdom of Spain, and reviewed the motives for establishing the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, the structure of this Council and its organs and the role of each of them in supporting and promoting the values of equality, tolerance, peace and peaceful coexistence through parliamentary work, cultural diplomacy, education and the establishment of literary and artistic events and sports with the aim of consolidating the culture of brotherhood and love among the various peoples of the world.
AlJarwan added that the Spanish state institutions represent the Council and its organs a great value that deserves to be proud of because of their prominent and pioneering role in supporting international cooperation and leadership in leading various international initiatives aimed at promoting a culture of tolerance, peace and peaceful coexistence in various countries of the world.
The Vice-Chairman of the International Cooperation Committee of the Spanish Chamber of Deputies affirmed the aforementioned parliamentary committee’s interest in holding more meetings with the organs of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, with the aim of consolidating the cooperation relationship with the Council, and coordinating joint initiatives between the two sides to support international cooperation, development and the values of peaceful coexistence and tolerance in the various member states of the The Global Council for Tolerance and Peace and its International Parliament.
