The Uzbek Parliament Welcomes the Delegation from the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, led by Al Jarwan
In a warm reception, His Excellency Mr. Sodiq Safoyev, First Deputy Speaker of the Uzbek Parliament and former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, graciously hosted His Excellency Ahmed bin Mohamed Al Jarwan, President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, and his accompanying delegation at the Uzbek Parliament headquarters in Tashkent. During this meeting, the two sides engaged in fruitful discussions aimed at bolstering cooperation and collaboration in the realms of tolerance and peace.
Al Jarwan offered a comprehensive overview of the Council’s key objectives, worldwide events, and activities undertaken by its members across the globe.
Mr. Safoyev, in turn, expressed his parliament’s unwavering support for the Council’s mission and objectives. He emphasized the current global need for an international organization like the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, dedicated to rallying international efforts for the propagation of a culture of tolerance and peace on a global scale.
Furthermore, Mr. Safoyev expressed the Uzbek Parliament’s willingness to foster cooperation, collaborative endeavors, and the signing of a memorandum of understanding with the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace. This commitment is aimed at advancing the cause of tolerance and peace worldwide.
