The Speaker of the Senegalese Parliament meets Al Jarwan
His Excellency Mr. Mustafa Nias, the Speaker of the Senegalese National Assembly (Parliament), met H.E. Ahmed bin Mohammed Aljarwan, the president of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace(GCTP), and his accompanying delegation at the National Assembly headquarters in the capital Dakar. The meeting was attended by Senegalese Parliament Member and Mr. Baba Sana Mbaye, the Member of the International Parliament for Tolerance and Peace(IPTP).
The two sides discussed the ways to strengthen the relationship and partnership between the Senegalese NA, GCTP and its international parliament in order to support and unify all parliamentary efforts to spread the values of tolerance and peace. The two sides also signed the approval of the Senegalese National Assembly to open the representative office of the Council in the Senegalese capital, Dakar.
The Speaker of the Senegalese Parliament praised the role of the GCTP and its various organs, IPTP, and the NA, for the great effort provided by the Council in the dissemination of the values of tolerance and peace around the world. Mr. Nias said that the council meets an international need for a platform that promotes awareness of the importance of tolerance and peace, stressing his country’s support for the council and its goals in the dissemination of tolerance and peace.
For his part, Aljarwan thanked the Speaker of the Senegalese NA for the good reception and hospitality, praising the efforts of Senegal and its parliament in maintaining security, stability and promoting peace in the whole world, stressing the need to unify international efforts to promote tolerance and peace.
