The President of Nepal receives the President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace and his accompanying delegation:
In the capital, Kathmandu, H.E. Bidya Devi Bhandari, President of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal, received H.E. Ahmed bin Muhammad Al Jarwan, President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, praising the Council’s efforts in spreading tolerance and peace.
She affirmed her permanent support for all efforts that contribute to spreading peace, tolerance and development around the world.
The two sides reviewed the most prominent steps of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, which has about 95 members in parliaments distributed across all continents of the world. Al Jarwan also presented President Bhandari with the latest developments and activities of the General Assembly of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, which is concerned with the efforts of organizations, educational institutions and individuals in spreading the values of tolerance and peace around the world.
Al-Jarwan also extended his deep thanks and appreciation to President Bhandari for the generous hospitality and good reception that the delegation of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace received in the capital, Kathmandu.
The President of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal affirmed that the relations between the UAE and Nepal are based on mutual trust and common values, praising the efforts of the UAE to promote tolerance and peace in the world, pointing out that both countries are cooperating to spread peace and tolerance globally through multiple international forums, especially the United Nations and “Non-Aligned Movement”.
The meeting was attended by the delegation of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, consisting of; H.E. Mohamed Sabari, First Deputy Speaker of the Moroccan House of Representatives, Dubravka Filipovsky, Member of Parliament of Serbia, H.E. Hussein Mohamed Latif, Member of Parliament of the Maldives, Dylan Pereira, Member of Parliament of Sri Lanka, Bojan Glavicek, Member of the Croatian Parliament, H.E. Fazil Zandeli, Member of Parliament of Macedonia, Dr. Zoran Ilievski, Presidential Adviser Global Council for Tolerance and Peace.
