The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Nepal receives the delegation of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace

In the Nepalese capital, Kathmandu, His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal, Narayan Khadka, received His Excellency Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Jarwan, President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace.

The two sides discussed ways to enhance cooperation and joint action in the fields of tolerance and peace, development, climate and food. Al-Jarwan presented the Nepalese minister with a brief explanation of the most important activities and achievements of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace.

For his part, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal affirmed his pride in Nepal’s presence in the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, expressing his desire to transfer Nepal’s rich experience to the world.

He added: “We are a multicultural society, religions and ideologies, our children speak more than 120 different local languages, we are united by harmony woven through respect and coexistence. We are proud of the presence of Hindus, Buddhists and Muslims, as each goes to his places of worship and performs his rituals in peace.”

He also added, “I believe that together we will be able to make a global impact, which we desperately need today.”

The meeting was attended by the delegation of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, consisting of; H.E. Mohamed Sabari, First Deputy Speaker of the Moroccan House of Representatives, Dubravka Filipovsky, Member of Parliament of Serbia, H.E. Hussein Mohamed Latif, Member of Parliament of the Maldives, Dylan Pereira, Member of Parliament of Sri Lanka, Bojan Glavicek, Member of the Croatian Parliament, H.E. Fazil Zandeli, Member of Parliament of Macedonia, Dr. Zoran Ilievski, Presidential Adviser Global Council for Tolerance and Peace.
