The launching of the International Parliament for Tolerance and Peace and its activities in the European Capital of Cultural 2018 has caught the attention of the international media. The major broadcasted and written media outlets have devoted large areas to publish the relevant news, videos, photos, interviews and interventions.
The media coverage spread in Spanish, Albanian, Russian, English, French, Dutch, Nigerian, Arabic, Maltese and other languages, from South America to Europe, the East, Asia, Africa and the rest of the world.
The International Parliament for Tolerance and Peace held its first procedural session in Valletta, Malta, last week in the presence of more than 50 countries. In this session, one of the participant parliamentarians was elected president and five key committees were formed to develop a new global strategy to instill a culture of tolerance and peace in the face of prejudice, extremism, terrorism, violence, racism and discrimination.
