The International Parliament for Tolerance and Peace honors Sheikh Zayed for his contributions around the world

The Albanian Parliament and the International Parliament for Tolerance and Peace honored on Sunday in Tirana the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may his soul rest in peace.

Members of the International Parliament for Tolerance and Peace stood during the second session held in the main hall of the Albanian Parliament, in honor of the founder of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and in recognition of his contributions and initiatives in the field of tolerance and peace around the world.

During the meeting which was held on the International Day for Tolerance, Mr. Taulant Balla, the current President of the International Parliament for Tolerance and Peace, called for the participants from speakers and representatives of regional and international parliaments and institutions, to stand in honor of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

“On this very special date – the International Day for Tolerance – on behalf of the Albanian Parliament and all members of the International Parliament for Tolerance and Peace, we all stand in honor of a historic figure and a national and international leader that strongly believes in the importance of tolerance and peace and has practiced them widely in his country and around the world” he said, confirming that Sheikh Zayed has given to the world a great example of a truly tolerant leadership.

“In Year of Zayed, we celebrate today the lasting legacy of Sheikh Zayed as a man of peace and of a vision that promotes the virtues of compromise and the rationality of dialogue and tolerance around the world.”
