The Global Council for Tolerance and Peace Signs Memorandum of Understanding with Mauritanian Moheett Center for Development, Women, and Peace
His Excellency Ahmed bin Mohamed Al Jarwan, President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, and Her Excellency Dr. Makfola Akat, President of the Moheet Center for Development, Women, and Peace Issues, have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enhance cooperation in promoting tolerance and peace. The signing ceremony took place at the Moheet Center’s headquarters in Nouakchott, the capital of Mauritania.
This MoU aims to solidify the partnership between the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace and the Moheet Center, with a particular focus on supporting development initiatives, advancing the role of women in peacebuilding, and fostering a culture of tolerance. These are key areas of mutual interest and priority for both institutions.
The agreement underscores the commitment of both organizations to collaborate on joint projects that promote sustainable development, empower women, and encourage peaceful coexistence, which aligns with the core objectives of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace.
