The Global Council for Tolerance and Peace signs an agreement to open a Regional Office in the Comoros and an MoU with the Assembly of the Union of the Comoros
The president of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, H.E. Mr. Ahmed bin Mohamed Al-Jarwan has signed an agreement to open the Regional Office of GCTP in the Comoros (The Comorian Union), in the Comorian capital Moroni. The agreement was signed with Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Comorian Union, H. E. Mr. Dhoihir Dhoulkamal,.
This agreement comes within the framework of strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation between the GCTP and the Comoros in order to spread and uphold the values of tolerance and peace around the world, in all fields and through various means, specifically through the parliamentary, educational and media systems.
Dhoulkamal has affirmed the consistent support of his country to the GCTP and its noble objectives that would enhance security, stability and peace in Africa and the whole world.
On his part, the president of the GCTP has affirmed his gratitude to the leadership and government of the Comorian Union for their significant support to the GCTP, praising the Comorian government support to peace efforts in Africa and the whole world.
Moreover, the president of Assembly of the Union of the Comoros, H. E. Mr. Moustadroine Abdou, , has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the International Parliament for Tolerance and Peace, one of the GCTP organs. The Memorandum stipulates the membership of Assembly of the Union of the Comoros in the IPTP. Furthermore, the MoU aims to promote more cooperation and joint work between the IPTP and the Assembly of the Union of the Comoros in order to unite the parliamentary efforts to raise and spread tolerance and peace values around the world.
