The Global Council for Tolerance and Peace and the Egyptian National Council for Human Rights sign a memorandum of understanding and joint action to promote human rights, tolerance and peace.
His Excellency Ahmed bin Muhammad Al-Jarwan, President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace (GCTP), and Her Excellency Dr. Ambassador Moushira Khattab, President of the Egyptian National Council for Human Rights, signed a memorandum of understanding and joint action between the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace and the Egyptian National Council for Human Rights, in the Egyptian capital, Cairo. The memorandum came to strengthen the relationship and set a framework for cooperation between the two sides to promote a culture of tolerance and peace and support human rights efforts in the region and the world.
During his meeting with the President of the Egyptian National Council for Human Rights, Al-Jarwan reviewed the most prominent efforts made by the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace to support the values and culture of love, peace and tolerance around the world. He also gave an explanation of the most important initiatives and projects that the Council participates in activating in various countries of the world, with the aim of promoting peaceful coexistence and tolerance. Al-Jarwan also praised the importance of the National Council for Human Rights in Egypt, in supporting human rights in Egypt and the world.
Her Excellency Ambassador Moushira Khattab reviewed the importance of disseminating and promoting the principles of human rights. The role of the National Council for Human Rights in promoting human rights in the Arab Republic of Egypt and internationally. With the Council’s unremitting efforts to support the values and culture of peace, coexistence and tolerance in various countries of the world through diplomacy and dialogue and its support for human rights around the world.
The agreement included items of cooperation in order to spread, promote and protect a culture of human rights and a culture of tolerance and peace, and cooperation in the field of developing and supporting human rights courses for school students, in addition to cooperation in the field of offering master’s programs of tolerance, peace and human rights, and holding joint seminars aimed at disseminating the values of tolerance, peace and principles of human rights in region and the world.
The signing was attended by His Excellency Ambassador Fahmy Fayed, Secretary General of the National Council for Human Rights, Ambassador Dr. Mahmoud Karem, Vice President of the National Council for Human Rights and a number of members of the Council, and His Excellency Dr. Hajar Abu Jabal, President of the General Assembly for Tolerance and Peace, and the Egyptian Assistant Minister of Youth and Sports and Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Culture In Egypt, and a number of heads of Egyptian universities, civil society organizations and media professionals.
