Statement by the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace Regarding Efforts toSecure FullMembership for Palestine in the United Nations.

His Excellency Ahmed bin Mohamed Al Jarwan, President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace expressed the Council’s appreciation for the support of several international bodies for Palestine’s full membership in the United Nations. He recognized the statements issued by the State of the United Arab Emirates, chair of the Arab Group; the State of Uganda, chair of the Non-Aligned Movement; and the State of Mauritania, chair of the Islamic Group. The Council also commended the United Nations General Assembly member states that voted for the draft resolution supporting Palestine’s right to full membership.

The Global Council for Tolerance and Peace appreciates the efforts of the United Nations General Assembly in upholding democracy in international relations, emphasizing that its resolutions reflect a genuine international will to ensure justice and fairness for the Palestinian people. Palestinians continue to fight for their basic rights, particularly the right to statehood and equality alongside other member states.

The Council underscores the importance of ending the ongoing conflict in Palestine in line with the United Nations General Assembly, Security Council, and Human Rights Council resolutions. Prolonged conflict only fuels hatred and drives younger generations toward revenge, undermining global efforts to promote tolerance and peace.

The Global Council for Tolerance and Peace also stresses the necessity of unified international efforts to deliver humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people, especially to alleviate the suffering of children and women.

The Council calls on all member states of the United Nations to continue working together to pass a resolution granting Palestine full membership, ensuring equality and justice for its people.
