Statement by Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Jarwan President of the Global Council for Tolerance and PeaceOn the Iranian Aggression Against Gulf and Arab States

We unequivocally and in the strongest possible terms condemn the Iranian aggression that targeted several Gulf and Arab states, foremost among them the United Arab Emirates. This dangerous escalation constitutes a blatant violation of international norms and conventions and represents a direct assault on the sovereignty, territorial integrity, and security of these nations and their peoples.

Such actions can only be understood as overtly hostile conduct, incompatible with the principles of good neighborliness and in clear defiance of the rules of international law that govern relations among states. They endanger regional stability and open the door to serious repercussions that threaten both regional and international peace.
At the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, together with our members and partners across more than one hundred countries worldwide, we categorically denounce these attacks and firmly reject this aggressive approach toward Gulf and Arab nations—an approach that undermines the foundations of stability and jeopardizes the collective security of the region’s peoples.

For decades, the Gulf and Arab states—led by the United Arab Emirates—have stood as pillars of regional stability and as global models in advancing peace, promoting tolerance, and fostering a culture of coexistence and intercultural dialogue.

Their longstanding commitment to peaceful solutions, dialogue, and sustainable development makes any attempt to target them wholly unacceptable and indefensible under political, legal, and humanitarian standards alike.

Targeting Gulf and Arab states is, in effect, an attack on the very principles of moderation, coexistence, and stability they embody. This grave escalation places full responsibility on the Iranian leadership and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps for the consequences arising from these actions and their impact on the region’s security and future.
Respect for national sovereignty is not optional; it is a cornerstone of the international order. Any violation of the security of Gulf and Arab states constitutes a threat to the stability of the entire region and to international peace at large.

We reaffirm that our voice will remain resolute in condemning this aggression, and we stand firmly alongside Gulf and Arab nations in safeguarding their sovereignty, protecting their security, and rejecting any hostile conduct that threatens their peoples or undermines their stability.
