Sheikh Al-Azhar praises Al-Jarwan’s efforts in instilling a culture of tolerance and peace
Sheikh Al-Azhar Ahmed Al-Tayeb praised the efforts exerted by HE Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Jarwan, President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace at the local, regional and international levels, to promote tolerance, spread a culture of peace and combat discrimination, racism, intolerance and extremism.
The content of the letter was as follows:
“HE Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Jarwan, President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace,
I have received your precious message, and I am very pleased with your appreciation for the role of Al-Azhar and its efforts in spreading the true meaning of religion and countering radical thought, and your pride in its initiatives to spread peace and tolerance throughout the world.
Al-Azhar appreciates your support for his efforts and thanks the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace for its active role in spreading noble values between man and his fellow human beings.
I am certain that the Council can achieve its objectives, which in essence are in line with Al-Azhar’s international mission and the objectives of the Muslim Council of Elders to safeguard human dignity and ensure its freedom.”
