President of the Global Council for Tolerance meets Father Boutros Daniel to cooperate with the Catholic Institute to promote the values of Tolerance and Peace
The President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, His Excellency Ahmed bin Mohamed Al Jarwan, visited Friday morning the Egyptian Catholic Center for Cinema and the Saint Joseph Church of the Latin Catholics, during which he met, the Director of the Center, Father Boutros Daniel, in the presence of the Regional President of the Franciscan monks in Egypt, Father Murad Majla,.
This came within the framework of consolidating the bonds of love based on cooperation and peace, and in appreciation of Egypt’s pioneering role in the Arab region.
During his visit, Al Jarwan was accompanied by the advisor to the President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, Diplomat Khaled Al Mahmoud, where they discussed the possibility of joint cooperation to promote the values of tolerance and peace at the Arab and the international levels.
It is worth mentioning that the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace has signed an agreement with the Libyan Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation to open a representative office for the Council in Libya, that aims to spread and uphold the values of tolerance and peace in Libya and the world in various fields and through different means, especially through the parliamentary, educational and media systems.
The President of the Council discussed venues of cooperation with the Catholic Cinema Center in particular for what is known about its director in terms of human relations and field visits in line with the council’s approach, they also touched upon cooperation with the Franciscan Order in general, with the aim of strengthening cooperation and joint work by reaching a common framework for the social and the field works.
The president of the Council and his accompanying delegation also visited the Nile Hall for the Franciscan Fathers, where the Film Festival was held, and the memorial center medal was given to the delegation during the visit. On the other hand, the President of the Council offered the Medal of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace to Father Boutros Daniel.
Father Boutros Daniel stressed, during the meeting, on the importance of fruitful and constructive cooperation in the service of humanity, and that peace messages, are through education, art, politics, and culture and any person who can work through humanitarian work to become a motivational model. He also clarified that the Catholic Center is ready to cooperate with the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace through visits to elderly home, orphanage and also all humanitarian activities .
