Nepalese Prime Minister praises the efforts of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace

In the Nepalese capital, Kathmandu, HE Sher Bahadur Deuba, Prime Minister of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal, received HE Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Jarwan, President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, at the government headquarters in the capital, Kathmandu.

The meeting was attended by the delegation of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, consisting of; H.E. Mohamed Sabari, First Deputy Speaker of the Moroccan House of Representatives, Dubravka Filipovsky, Member of Parliament of Serbia, H.E. Hussein Mohamed Latif, Member of Parliament of the Maldives, Dylan Pereira, Member of Parliament of Sri Lanka, Bojan Glavicek, Member of the Croatian Parliament, H.E. Fazil Zandeli, Member of Parliament of Macedonia, Dr. Zoran Ilievski, Presidential Adviser Global Council for Tolerance and Peace.

His Excellency the Nepalese Prime Minister affirmed his country and government’s support for the goals of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, and the parliamentary, social and educational efforts it presents to promote a culture of tolerance and peace, noting that his country enjoys great cultural, civilizational, ethnic and religious harmony, and believes in freedom of belief, coexistence, tolerance and peace.

For his part, Al-Jarwan thanked the warm reception and hospitality accorded to the delegation of the Council in Kathmandu, and said that we look forward to more cooperation and joint work with Nepal’s leadership, government and people to promote a culture of tolerance and peace in Nepal and the world as a whole.
