The Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, in the presence of His Excellency the President of the Republic of Comoros Ghazali Othman, the President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace Ahmed bin Mohamed AlJarwan, the President of the Parliament of the Republic of Comoros His Excellency Mustardoin Abdo, and representatives of national parliaments from around the world, held the eighth session of the International Parliament for Tolerance and Peace, at the Parliament headquarters lunar;
The session discussed youth and development issues and the importance of spreading tolerance among young people and supporting their empowerment in various fields. In the joint final statement, the participants condemned the terrorist attacks of the Houthi militia on the UAE and Saudi Arabia, calling on the international community to include the Houthi militia among the terrorist organizations.
In a related context, the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, in cooperation with the Comoros Ministry of Youth and in the presence of the President of the Republic of the Comoros, His Excellency Ghazali Othman, held the International Youth and Peace Forum at the headquarters of the National Parliament in the Comoros, and in the presence of a number of officials, ministers, ambassadors, heads and members of federations and related organizations, and academics from various countries The world, with the aim of supporting the youth category and discussing ways to enhance opportunities for their advancement in the Comoros, Africa and the world, in a way that would support development and peace efforts around the world.
In his speech during the conference, President Ghazali praised the efforts of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace in supporting youth, peace and development, stressing his support for the directions of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, and affirming his country’s support for the United Arab Emirates against all threats to its security and stability, condemning the Houthi terrorist attack on civilian facilities in UAE.
For his part, Al-Jarwan called for international action to deter the Houthi militia, stop its terrorism and classify it as a terrorist group, In his speech, he also stressed the depth of the council’s relationship with the Republic of the Comoros, praising the support of the Comoros president, government and parliament for the council and its directions, calling on the participants to work together in order to present their experiences for the good and interest of the youth group and to achieve peace and development in the region.
Representing the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ambassador Zaid Al-Sabban, Director of the Horn of Africa Department of the League of Arab States, and read out a statement of the Arab League’s denunciation of the terrorist attacks of the Houthi militia on civilian facilities in the UAE, in front of the audience, stressing that the League of Arab States stands by the UAE in its right keep replying.
