Global Council for Tolerance and Peace Welcomes France’s Intention to Recognize the State of Palestine

His Excellency Ahmed bin Mohamed Al Jarwan, President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, has welcomed—on behalf of the Council, its members, and partners—the announcement by French President Emmanuel Macron regarding France’s intention to recognize the State of Palestine this coming June. Al Jarwan described the move as “a step in the right direction.”

He emphasized that France’s recognition would reinforce the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people and contribute to achieving the two-state solution in accordance with international law. The Global Council for Tolerance and Peace fully supports this initiative and urges other nations to follow France’s lead, in pursuit of lasting peace and a transition from scenes of destruction and bloodshed to a new chapter of development and coexistence—far removed from fueling future generations with hatred and extremism.

In his statement, Al Jarwan highlighted France’s historic and leading role in promoting global peace, noting that this anticipated decision reflects the country’s steadfast commitment to justice and peace. He added that France continues to play a vital role in driving international and regional partnerships aimed at fostering global stability, and further strengthens its position as a key actor in advancing balance and mutual understanding among nations.

Al Jarwan concluded by stating that the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace deeply values this French initiative and calls upon the international community to adopt similar measures that would contribute to the promotion of peace and the realization of people’s aspirations for justice, tolerance, and harmony.
