Global Council for Tolerance and Peace Signs MoU with the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation to Strengthen Parliamentary Collaboration

H.E. Ahmed bin Mohamed Aljarwan, President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC) during an official ceremony held at the Assembly’s headquarters in Istanbul, Türkiye. The agreement marks a step forward in advancing international parliamentary cooperation and broadening institutional partnerships. The MoU was co-signed on behalf of the Assembly by its Secretary General, Academician Asaf Hajiyev.


The Memorandum aims to enhance cooperation and joint action between the two sides, while promoting coordination and engagement in advancing parliamentary work in support of tolerance, peace, and sustainable development.


Aljarwan emphasized that the agreement represents an important milestone in expanding international parliamentary partnerships and reinforcing the role of parliaments in fostering a culture of tolerance and building bridges of dialogue among nations. He also highlighted the importance of collective action in addressing global challenges through effective parliamentary diplomacy.


PABSEC brings together thirteen member states: Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece, Moldova, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Türkiye, Ukraine, and North Macedonia—reflecting a diverse regional composition that strengthens prospects for both regional and international cooperation.


This step comes as part of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace’s ongoing efforts to expand its international presence and build strategic partnerships with parliamentary and regional institutions, contributing to the promotion of tolerance, peace, and sustainable development worldwide.
