The Global Council for Tolerance and Peace praises the statement of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, H.E. Antonio Guterres, in which he affirmed that racism, xenophobia, anti-Semitism, and Islamophobia poison societies and must be confronted every time and everywhere.
The President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, His Excellency Ahmed bin Muhammad Al Jarwan, said in a statement in this regard that the Council strongly supports the statements of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, and stresses the importance of confronting racism, extremism, and hatred of the other in various ways, specifically with education and awareness, which is what the Council works on and for, and this is through the intensification and support of all the efforts calling for the rejection and confrontation of these destructive and poisonous ideas, which would fuel conflicts, create crises and ignite the fires of conflicts in societies and between countries.
The President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace affirmed that the council strongly supports all the directions of the United Nations in order to spread tolerance and peace, and he always strives to work with the UN and its concerned organizations in order to make all possible efforts at all diplomatic, parliamentary, cultural, educational, and media levels with the aim of confronting racism and extremism, spreading love, tolerance and peace around the world and cultivating the culture of peace among generations so that we all enjoy a more coexistent, tolerant and peaceful future at the global level.
