Global Council for Tolerance and Peace Commends the UAE for Hosting Trilateral Talks on the Russia–Ukraine Crisis

The Global Council for Tolerance and Peace has praised the United Arab Emirates for hosting the trilateral talks bringing together Russia, Ukraine, and the United States in Abu Dhabi, aimed at supporting peace efforts and exploring political solutions to the ongoing crisis between Russia and Ukraine. The Council affirmed that this initiative reflects the UAE’s international standing and its consistent approach of promoting dialogue and building bridges of understanding.
H.E. Ahmed bin Mohamed Aljarwan, President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, stated that the UAE’s hosting of these consultations is a natural extension of its leading role in fostering a culture of dialogue and peace at both regional and international levels. He highlighted the country’s balanced diplomacy and openness toward all parties, which help create a constructive environment conducive to narrowing differences and encouraging mutual understanding.
Aljarwan further emphasized that the UAE’s engagement in this context underscores its respected global position and the international community’s confidence in its role as a credible platform for dialogue and convergence. He noted that embracing peaceful solutions and encouraging constructive consultations are fully aligned with the humanitarian values underpinning the UAE’s foreign policy.
The President of the Council added that the UAE continues to play an active role in supporting efforts to reduce tensions and enhance prospects for peace, driven by its firm belief that dialogue remains the most effective means of addressing complex crises, while taking humanitarian considerations into account and safeguarding the security and stability of peoples.
The statement also commended the UAE’s advanced humanitarian role and its efforts that have resulted in the implementation of 17 humanitarian initiatives for the exchange of detainees between the two sides, leading to the release of thousands of prisoners. These initiatives reflect the strength of the UAE’s relations with both parties and have reinforced its position as a trusted and effective contributor to diplomatic and humanitarian pathways, helping to alleviate the human impact of conflicts.
