Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, celebrates the Children’s Day

November 20th each year recognizes the Children’s Day to support our children’s ambitions, dreams, and goals. It is an important date as it is the date in 1959 when the UN General Assembly adopted the Declaration of the Rights of the Child. It is also the date in 1989 when the UN General Assembly adopted the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
The President of the General Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, H.E.Ahmed Bin Mohamed AlJarwan, confirms that our Children, today, are the changemakers and the leaders of tomorrow. They should be considered as active participants in their own lives and in their communities, as they can and should meaningfully contribute to decision-making. Our children are the reason of our happiness and joy, it is our responsibility to build for them a peaceful and stable future. We should empower them and give them their rights in living a decent life.
On this day, H.E. AlJarwan, calls for coming together to build the type of world we want to create for our children to live together in harmony, love, peace and tolerance.
