Al-Qassimiya University and Ambassador of Kazakhstan emphasize their support of the goals of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace

HE Mr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Jarwan, President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace and his accompanying delegation, visited Dr. Rashad Mohammed Salem, Director of the Qassim University in Sharjah, in his office at the university, where he gave a brief explanation on the role of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace in promoting the culture of tolerance and peace in the world, stressing “the importance of the role of educational and cultural institutions in working to strengthen these human and noble ideas among students of science and future generations.”

For his part, Dr. Salem praised “the efforts of HE Al Jarwan and the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, expressing his strong support for these constructive ideas, stating that the visions of the Council and its objectives are in line with the University’s aspirations and mission.” Moreover, he also emphasized on “the University’s endeavor to strengthen the work with the Council to serve the pursuit of peace.”

In another meeting, Al Jarwan met in the UAE capital Abu Dhabi, HE Ambassador Khairat Lama Sharif, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the United Arab Emirates, where Al-Jarwan stressed the role played by the Council in the international arena and the necessity of joint international diplomatic action and harnessing the mechanisms of soft power in order to overcome the challenges that the international peace is facing due to the expansion of fanatic and extremist ideology and spread of terrorism, racism and exclusion.

Additionally, HE Al-Jarwan briefed the Kazakh ambassador on “the role of the International Parliament for Tolerance and Peace, one of the organs of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, and its efforts to unite the international parliamentary efforts to spread tolerance and promote peace in the world.”
In his turn, HE Sharif praised the “efforts of Al- Jarwan and the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, where he also stressed on “his support and his country’s support for this important trend and the importance of spreading the values of tolerance and peace, and his endeavor to expand the scope of cooperation between the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace and the Republic of Kazakhstan and to harness all possibilities to support the Council’s efforts.”
