Al Jarwan signs an agreement of collaboration with the Mozambican parliament

The president of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, His Excellency Ahmed bin Mohamed Al Jarwan signed a cooperation and joint work agreement with the Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Mozambique, Her Excellency Mrs. Esperanca Lorenda Bias, during her reception of the delegation of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace at the headquarters of the Mozambican Parliament in the capital, Maputo.

The aim of this agreement is to set a cooperation framework and joint action in the fields of tolerance and peace and includes the membership of a representative from the Mozambican Parliament in the International Parliament for Tolerance and Peace, the partnership in setting initiatives and organizing conferences supporting peace and tolerance in various fields, and the recognition of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace as a reference for mobilizing and unifying international efforts for tolerance and peace. In the same context, Mrs. Bias affirmed the support of her country’s parliament to the Council’s projects in southern and eastern Africa, and the need to initiate laws that address the phenomena of religious and ethnic extremism and terrorism, stressing also the readiness of her country’s parliament to hold regional sessions for African countries in Mozambique.
