Al Jarwan signs a Strategic agreement in Spain for the ” Master’s Program in Tolerance Studies and Global Peace ” between the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace and the Spanish Catholic University UCAM

The President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace (GCTP), His Excellency Ahmed bin Mohamed Al Jarwan, signed an academic partnership agreement at the headquarters of the “Foundation for Islamic Culture and Religious Tolerance (FICRT)” in Madrid, the capital of Spain, for the “Master’s Program in Tolerance Studies and global Peace”, which is offered by the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace and the Faculty of Social Sciences and Communication of the Spanish Catholic University San Antonio (UCAM) in the city of Murcia in the southeast of the Kingdom of Spain.

On the Spanish side, the agreement was signed by the Director General of Institutional Relations at UCAM, His Excellency José Luis Mendoza García, on behalf of the President of the University, and in the presence of the Vice President for International Relations, His Excellency Pablo Blisa Aledo, and the Coordinator of the Partnerships Unit, His Excellency Ernesto Garcia.

The signing ceremony of the academic partnership agreement was also attended by the Director General of the “Foundation for Islamic Culture and Religious Tolerance in the Kingdom of Spain FICRT”, His Excellency Dr. Musabah bin Saeed Al Ketbi, the Director of the Office of the Director General of the Islamic Cultural Center in Madrid of the Muslim World League, His Excellency Dr. Adel Al Hashemi, the Director of the Catholic Media Foundation (Omnes) in Spain, His Excellency Bishop Alfonso Riobo, and representatives of the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in the Kingdom of Spain.

During the signing ceremony of the academic partnership agreement, Al Jarwan confirmed that the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace and UCAM, which has close cooperation relations with the Vatican State and Pope Francis, share in defending the same values and same vision that is based on the need to support understanding, dialogue, mutual respect and societal integration. Hence, the interest of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace came to hold this partnership to launch an academic program for postgraduate studies that aims to provide distinguished scientific material for students to provide them with that knowledge and qualify them by IUCAM professors who are specialized in this field, so that they can be partners in building a better world that is more peaceful, tolerant and loving. The President Council added that the ” Master’s Program in Tolerance Studies and Global Peace” will contribute to the qualification and preparation of future leaders who will defend the values and culture of peace, tolerance, peaceful coexistence and human rights in the world, especially since this program is addressed to individuals from different nationalities, races and religions.

It is worth noting that the main headquarters of the Spanish Catholic University UCAM – in which the master’s program lectures will be presented in both Spanish and English – is located in the city of Murcia, which is located on the Mediterranean coast in southeastern Spain, a strategic location that connects the European and African continents. The university has more than 20,000 students, including more than 2,000 foreign students from more than 100 countries, and they speak 70 different languages. Furthermore, more than 1,000 professors and lecturers work in this Spanish Catholic university.
