Al Jarwan Promotes Tolerance and Peace around the world in High-Level Meetings in Beijing

The President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, His Excellency Ahmed bin Mohamed Al Jarwan, embarked on a productive visit to Beijing, China, where he engaged in high-level discussions with prominent Chinese officials to promote the values of tolerance and peace worldwide.

Mr. Al Jarwan commenced his visit by meeting with His Excellency Zhao Lijie, Speaker of the Parliament of the People’s Republic of China and Head of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress of China. The meeting took place at the Parliament headquarters in the capital, Beijing. During this insightful dialogue, Mr. Al Jarwan outlined the dedicated efforts of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace in spreading and fortifying the culture of tolerance and peace on a global scale.

In response, Mr. Zhao Lijie commended the Council’s remarkable initiatives and commitment to fostering tolerance and peace. He emphasized China’s profound understanding of the significance of disseminating these values throughout the world. Furthermore, he extended China’s warm welcome to enhancing collaborative efforts between the International Parliament for Tolerance and Peace and the Chinese Parliament. Both parties expressed their intent to explore the possibility of signing a memorandum of understanding to strengthen their joint endeavors in this crucial field.

Continuing his diplomatic engagements, His Excellency Al Jarwan met with His Excellency Ding Li, Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister, at the Ministry’s headquarters in Beijing. During this encounter, discussions revolved around the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace and its global initiatives to promote the values of tolerance and peace. The Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister spoke highly of the Council’s role and emphasized the robust ties between China and the United Arab Emirates. He expressed his country’s interest in potentially joining the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, further solidifying the commitment to advancing these shared values.

In another significant meeting, Mr. Al Jarwan held discussions with Zhao Yidi, Secretary of the Party Committee of Shaanxi Province and Head of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People’s Congress. The meeting was part of His Excellency’s official visit to China, focused on enhancing cooperation and joint efforts in the areas of tolerance and peace.

As part of the delegation’s visit to China, they also engaged with the China Foreign Relations University. Discussions centered on exploring venues of cooperation and joint initiatives aimed at strengthening efforts to propagate the values of tolerance and peace on a global scale.
