Al-Jarwan participates in the opening of the “UN House” in the presence of the Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations, the Mayor of Malaga and delegations of other international organizations and associations

His Excellency Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Jarwan, President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, participated in the opening of the UN House in Malaga, southern Spain, accompanied by His Excellency Nikhil Seth, Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations and Executive Director of the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), His Excellency Francisco de La Torre, Mayor of Malaga, and the heads and directors of a number of international United Nations and civil society organizations represented within this building, in particular the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), the International Organization for Migration (IOM), he United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and International Training Centre for Authorities and Leaders (CIFAL), in the presence of a number of Spanish political and parliamentary leaders.


Al-Jarwan also witnessed the flag-raising ceremony and the playing of the United Nations Anthem at UN House, the historic hospital building known as Hospital Noble, which was built in 1866 by the family of English doctor Joseph Noble, who lived in the Spanish city. The President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace also participated in that inspection tour of the various offices of United Nations organizations within this new building.
