Al Jarwan engaged in discussions with Tajik officials in Dushanbe regarding the global promotion of Tolerance and Peace values.
In a significant milestone, President Ahmed bin Mohamed Al Jarwan, along with His Excellency Mr. Muhammad Tahir Zakirzadeh, Speaker of the Tajik Parliament, solidified a cooperative agreement at the Parliament headquarters in the capital, Dushanbe. This agreement aims to fortify and shape collaborative efforts in the realms of tolerance and peace, not only in Asia but worldwide.
The Tajik Parliament’s Speaker lauded the Council’s tireless endeavors in promoting tolerance and peace, affirming unwavering support from his country’s legislative body.
The memorandum of understanding encompasses key aspects such as the appointment of a Tajik Parliament member to the International Parliament for Tolerance and Peace, the strengthening of parliamentary collaboration on matters concerning tolerance and peace, as well as the organization of joint parliamentary sessions and conferences.
Concurrently, His Excellency Mr. Sirajuddin Mehreddin, Tajikistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, graciously received President Ahmed bin Mohamed Al Jarwan and his accompanying delegation at the Ministry’s headquarters in Dushanbe. The meeting revolved around the exploration of avenues to bolster cooperation and joint initiatives in the promotion of tolerance and peace, both regionally and globally.
President Al Jarwan provided Minister Mehraldin with a comprehensive overview of the Council, its objectives, operational areas, and its resolute commitment to disseminating tolerance and peace principles across the world. In response, Mr. Mehraldin commended the Council and its distinguished contributions. He reaffirmed Tajikistan’s steadfast support for the Council’s mission, noting the nation’s substantial experience in resolving conflicts and bridging differences through dialogue. Tajikistan’s emphasis on dialogue and its ability to overcome the aftermath of conflicts, exemplified by its leader, His Excellency President Emomali Rahmon, resonated with the necessity of propagating tolerance and peace values in the face of global violence and conflict. Minister Mehraldin concurred with President Al Jarwan on the establishment of a regional Council office in Dushanbe.
Furthermore, the Tajik Foreign Minister expressed appreciation for the strong relations between his country and the United Arab Emirates, acknowledging the UAE’s invaluable support in promoting the Department of Tolerance, Peace, Love, and Sustainable Development. He emphasized the significance of the UAE’s role in hosting COP28 and expressed confidence in the success of this prominent international event.
In an endeavor to enhance collaboration with educational institutions, President Ahmed bin Mohamed Al Jarwan met with His Excellency Dr. Khoshvakhtzoda Kobiljon, President of the Tajik National University, at the university’s headquarters in Dushanbe. Their discussions focused on strategies to strengthen cooperation in advocating tolerance and peace values within the academic sphere. They agreed to formalize this commitment through a memorandum of understanding, enabling the Tajik National University to offer the master’s program in Tolerance Studies and Global Peace designed by the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace. Furthermore, the two entities committed to collaborating on hosting scientific conferences and a variety of cultural competitions geared towards fostering a culture of tolerance and peace.
