Global Council for Tolerance and Peace Condemns Israeli Decision to Classify Land in the Occupied West Bank as “State Land”

The Global Council for Tolerance and Peace has condemned the Israeli decision to classify areas of land in the occupied West Bank as so-called “state land,” considering this step a clear violation of international law and an attempt to impose a new legal and demographic reality on the occupied Palestinian territory.

His Excellency Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Jarwan, President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, affirmed that these unilateral measures constitute a dangerous escalation that would accelerate settlement expansion, undermine the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, and threaten the prospects of achieving a just and comprehensive peace in the region.
He stressed that any attempts to alter the legal and historical status of the occupied Palestinian territories contradict the principles of international law and relevant international legitimacy resolutions, and further complicate international efforts aimed at ending the conflict and achieving regional stability.

The Council’s position also comes in support of the joint statement issued by the Foreign Ministers of the United Arab Emirates, Türkiye, Egypt, Jordan, Indonesia, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar, which expressed clear rejection of actions that violate international law in the occupied Palestinian territories and called for an end to any steps that would change the existing legal reality.

The Global Council for Tolerance and Peace called on the international community to assume its responsibilities, take effective steps to uphold international law, halt unilateral measures, and safeguard the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, in order to create the conditions necessary for achieving a just and lasting peace based on respect for international law and the principles of justice.

The Council reaffirmed that genuine and sustainable peace can only be achieved through respect for the rights of peoples, adherence to international law, and the promotion of dialogue and coexistence in a manner that serves security and stability in the region and the world.
