Kazakhstan’s Ambassador to the UAE Confers Presidential Medal of Honor on Ahmed bin Mohamed Aljarwan

H.E. Rauan Zhumabek, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the United Arab Emirates, conferred the Medal of Honor awarded by H.E. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, upon H.E. Ahmed bin Mohamed Aljarwan, President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, in recognition of his distinguished international efforts in promoting the values of tolerance and peace, as well as advancing interfaith and intercultural dialogue worldwide.

The medal and its official certificate, signed by President Tokayev, were presented during a meeting held at Aljarwan’s residence in Sharjah. This high-level recognition reflects the deep appreciation of the Kazakh leadership for Aljarwan’s effective contributions to fostering a culture of peaceful coexistence, strengthening mutual respect, and enhancing understanding among peoples and societies.

During the meeting, Ambassador Zhumabek praised Aljarwan’s leading role through his presidency of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, highlighting the Council’s international initiatives that support global peacebuilding efforts, counter hate speech and extremism, and promote constructive civilizational dialogue.

For his part, Aljarwan expressed his profound gratitude and appreciation to President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and to the Republic of Kazakhstan—its leadership and people—affirming that this medal represents a source of pride and a strong motivation to continue working toward consolidating the values of tolerance and peace, and strengthening international cooperation in service of humanity.

Aljarwan also commended the prominent role played by the Republic of Kazakhstan in supporting interfaith and intercultural dialogue, noting its pioneering initiatives that have positioned the capital, Astana, as a global platform for dialogue and mutual understanding among religious and intellectual leaders from around the world.
