Global Council for Tolerance and Peace condemns Israeli attack on Qatar

The Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, led by Ahmed bin Mohamed Al Jarwan, strongly condemned the attack against the State of Qatar, describing the act as a clear violation of international law and a direct threat to the security and stability of the region.

The Council affirmed its full solidarity with Qatar, its leadership and people, and its outright rejection of any aggression targeting the sovereignty of states or endangering the lives of civilians. It stressed that the continuation of such unacceptable actions serves only to spread tension and violence, undermining international efforts to establish peace and security in the region and the world.

In this context, Al Jarwan said that Israel’s deliberate persistence in a policy of intransigence, supporting chaos and aggression, and distancing itself from any vision for peace and stability in the region, poses a grave danger to all peoples of the region.

The Council called on the international community and its institutions to assume their responsibilities in the face of these repeated violations, and to work towards their immediate cessation in order to safeguard regional stability and prevent their negative repercussions on international peace and security.
Al Jarwan reiterated that the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace will continue its efforts with parliaments, international organizations, and all partners to promote a culture of dialogue, reject violence and extremism, and uphold the values of tolerance and peace as the only path to achieving a safer and more just future for peoples.
