Global Council for Tolerance and Peace Condemns Israeli Attacks on Syria

The Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, led by its president Ahmed bin Mohamed Al Jarwan, strongly condemned the Israeli military escalation in Syrian territory, affirming its outright rejection of any violation of Syria’s sovereignty or threat to its security and stability.
In a statement, Al Jarwan said that Israel’s repeated assaults represent a clear breach of international law and the 1974 Disengagement Agreement, calling on the international community to shoulder its legal and humanitarian responsibilities and to act urgently to put an end to these violations, which risk increasing tensions and threatening regional and international peace and security.
He further stressed that a just and comprehensive peace can only be achieved through respect for the sovereignty of states and the integrity of their territories, reiterating the Council’s solidarity with the Syrian people and its support for all efforts aimed at achieving their aspirations for security, stability, dignity, and sustainable development.
