The Global Council for Tolerance participates in the Climate Finance Conference within the activities of COP29
H.E Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Jarwan, President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, participated the conference “The Legacy of COP29: Civil Society Discussion on Climate Finance”; hosted in Baku – Azerbaijan.
The conference brought together representatives from relevant United Nations organizations and a wide range of civil society organizations, who discussed ways to enhance cooperation to achieve climate goals.
Al Jarwan emphasized the crucial role of civil society in achieving climate goals and supporting sustainable financing, As he highlighted that non-governmental organizations play a pivotal role in raising community awareness, strengthening climate policies, and building bridges of collaboration with governmental and private sectors to ensure the sustainability of environmental efforts.
H.E also underscored that the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace is working on fostering effective partnerships with over 50 NGOs worldwide; were it aims to promote the values of tolerance and peace, as to connect these values to sustainability issues, ensuring a holistic approach to addressing climate challenges.
