The Global Council for Tolerance and Peace Signs Cooperation Agreement with the Irish Parliament
His Excellency Ahmed bin Mohamed Al Jarwan, President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, and His Excellency Mr. Sean Fearghail, President of the Irish Parliament, have signed a landmark cooperation and joint work agreement at the Parliament headquarters in Dublin, Ireland. This agreement was forged in response to the invitation extended by the Irish Parliament to the delegation of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace for the purpose of meeting and formalizing the agreement.
The delegation from the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace included members of the International Parliament for Tolerance and Peace, namely His Excellency Mr. Julius Marin Verzak, Member of the Romanian Parliament, His Excellency Mr. Glenn Beidenfeld, Member of the Maltese Parliament, and Dr. Zoran Elewski, Advisor to the President of the Council.
This agreement signifies a commitment to fostering cooperation and joint efforts in the realms of tolerance and peace. Key provisions include the inclusion of a representative from the Irish Parliament in the International Parliament for Tolerance and Peace, collaboration in organizing initiatives and conferences aimed at promoting peace and tolerance across various sectors, and acknowledgment of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace as a pivotal entity in mobilizing and uniting international endeavors for tolerance and peace.
In affirming his country’s Parliament’s support for the Council’s projects, His Excellency Mr. Sean Fearghail emphasized the imperative of backing legislation aimed at addressing religious and ethnic extremism, as well as terrorism.
