The Global Council for Tolerance and Peace signs an agreement of understanding and joint action with the Chilean Senate and House of Representatives
President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, His Excellency Ahmed bin Muhammad Al-Jarwan, signed an agreement of understanding and joint work with the Chilean Senate. The agreement was signed on the Chilean side by President of the Chilean Senate, His Excellency Mr. Alvaro Elizalde. This took place during a reception by His Excellency Al-Jarwan and the delegation of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace at the headquarters of the Chilean Senate in the capital, Santiago. The reception and signing was attended by a member of the International Parliament for Tolerance and Peace from the Republic of Chile, a member of the Chilean Senate, Mr. Francisco Shahwan, His Excellency Hamad Al Nuaimi from the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Chile, and representative of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace in South America, Mr. Gustavo Acosta.
Al-Jarwan also signed a cooperation and joint work agreement with the Chilean Parliament, at the Parliament headquarters. The agreement was signed by the Parliament, Deputy Speaker of the Chilean Parliament, Her Excellency Mrs. Sofia Sayed Versalovich. Both agreements aim to enhance cooperation in organizing events and conferences, exchanging experiences and uniting efforts in the field of tolerance and peace, as well as the presence of the representative of the Chilean Parliament in the International Parliament for Tolerance and Peace.
On the other hand, Chilean Minister of Interior, Her Excellency Mrs. Carolina Toha received Al-Jarwan and his accompanying delegation at the Republican Palace in the capital, Santiago. The two sides discussed ways to enhance cooperation and joint action in the areas of peace, tolerance, development and stability. Her Excellency welcomed Al-Jarwan and the delegation of the Council in Chile, pointing to the need to strengthen work from in order to spread the values of tolerance and peace in Chile and South America. The two sides agreed to hold a conference that serves the interests of spreading the values of tolerance and peace in the region in general.
