The Global Council for Tolerance and Peace officially participates in observing the Egyptian presidential elections
HE Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Jarwan, President of The Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, is participating in observing the presidential elections in Egypt, in the name of the council, along with a number of international and regional organizations and foreign civil society organizations such as: the Mediterranean Parliamentary Assembly, the League of Arab States, the African Union, COMESA, Community of Sahel-Saharan States, Association Ma’ona for Human Rights and Immigration, the Arab Organization for Human Rights and the Sweden Center for Human Rights.
The National Election Authority (NEA) has set the final binding schedule for the Egyptian presidential elections 2018 as follows: the Egyptians living abroad will vote on the 16, 17 and 18 March, as for the Egyptian citizens, they will be voting starting the 26th of March, the voting process will remain for 3 days and the elections result will be announced on April 2. In case a re-run was needed, the elections will be held from 19 to 21 of April for Egyptians abroad, from April 24 to 26 for the Egyptian citizens, and the final result will be announced on the 1st of May.
