In the ceremony of the first session of the Council in the Gabonese capital Libreville, chaired by Mr. Faustin Bokobe, President of the Gabonese National Council, the National Council of the Gabonese Republic hosted His Excellency Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Jarwan, President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace.
The opening ceremony was attended by Her Excellency Mrs. Rose Christian Osuka Rabonda, Prime Minister of Gabon, His Excellency Mr. Michael Moussa, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Gabon, Her Excellency Mrs. Lucy Milibo Oboison, President of the Gabonese Senate, a number of government and diplomatic figures in Gabon, and representatives of the Gabonese Parliament.
Praising the hospitality and good reception they received in Gabon, Al Jarwan delivered a speech in which he praised the National Assembly of the Gabonese Republic and the Gabonese Republic in general for supporting tolerance and peace.
During his speech, Al-Jarwan presented an explanation of the efforts of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace in supporting tolerance and peace around the world through its various organs, the International Parliament for Tolerance and Peace, and the General Assembly for Tolerance and Peace in various educational, cultural, parliamentary and diplomatic fields.
For his part, the President of the Gabonese National Council welcomed Jarwan, and affirmed his country’s and parliament’s support for the council’s lofty orientations. He also praised the directions and policies of the UAE and its wise leadership in supporting love, tolerance and peaceful coexistence around the world.
His Excellency Mr. Michael Moussa, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Gabonese Republic, also received Al-Jarwan and his accompanying delegation in the Gabonese capital, Libreville, praising his efforts and those of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, and its mobilization of all international efforts to support a culture of tolerance in order to achieve peace, development and stability around the world.
