President of the Salvadoran Parliament hosts the delegation of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace
HE Mr. Norman Quijano, President of the Parliament of the Republic of El Salvador, received the delegation of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, chaired by the President of the Council, Ahmed Ben Mohamed Al-Jarwan. The meeting was also attended by a member of the International Parliament for Tolerance and Peace from El Salvador Mr. Gustavo Acosta.
His Excellency Mr. Quijano warmly welcomed Al-Jarwan and the delegation of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace and appretiated the Council’s outstanding efforts to spread the values of tolerance around the world. The meeting dealt with the importance of cooperation in projects and initiatives calling for tolerance and peace in South America and the world at large.
The President of the Parliament of El Salvador showed an evident support to the high standards of the Council’s objectives, while focusing on the availability of the Salvadoran Parliament to back the Council’s projects aiming at achieving the utmost benefits of the people of the world.
In his turn, Al-Jarwan briefed on the latest developments within the Global Council in general and the International Parliament for Tolerance and Peace in particular, stressing the importance of cooperation and joint action between the various governmental, parliamentary, cultural, educational and media bodies to promote the dissemination of tolerance values with a view of achieving the valuable ethics of tolerance and peace around the world.
