Mr. Aslan Aslanov: “AZERTAC is ready to build relations with the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace.”

Media Relations Manager at the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, Marlene Wehbe, said that the council seeks cooperation with the Organization of Asia and Pacific News Agencies (OANA), which is chaired by AZERTAC, as she met with Mr. Aslan Aslanov Chairman of the Board of the Organization of Asia-Pacific News Agencies, in the presence of Algeria`s “Nahar TV” employee, Mr. Jamaladdin Busha.

Marlene Wehbe visited Azerbaijan to observe the presidential election and said that the voting took place in a democratic and transparent fashion.

She hailed Azerbaijan`s efforts to promote tolerance and peace, saying that the Council seeks to build close relations with the country in this regard. “We are interested in signing an agreement of cooperation with OANA. We should spread out tolerance and peace using the wide opportunities of AZERTAC and OANA,” Marlene Wehbe added.

Chairman Aslan Aslanov said that several media representatives observed the presidential election, adding that foreign press attached great importance to covering the voting. Mr. Aslanov noted that AZERTAC has chaired OANA since 2016. “In this capacity, AZERTAC has taken important measures to ensure delivery of products of more than 40 news agencies to wider audience,” Added Aslanov.

“AZERTAC also holds the presidency of the News Agencies World Congress, which includes more than hundred news agencies. The agency maintains close fruitful cooperation with several international organizations.”

Mr. Aslanov said: “AZERTAC is ready to build relations with the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace.”
