Her Excellency Katalin Novak, President of Hungary, met with His Excellency Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Jarwan, President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, at the headquarters of the German Parliament “Bundestag”, during his participation in an international forum, which is held by the German Parliament and attended annually by representatives of national parliaments, governments, administrations, economic authorities and civil society, as well as members of the German Parliament, government officials, ambassadors and other guests from more than 50 countries.
During the meeting, Al-Jarwan reviewed the efforts of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace around the world in the areas of promoting the values of tolerance and peace, and praised Hungary’s role and leadership in support of efforts for tolerance and peace in Europe and around the world.
For her part, the President of Hungary praised the council’s efforts and its president in mobilizing international efforts to support and promote a culture of tolerance and peace.
Al Jarwan headed the delegation of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace participating in the forum and delivered a speech welcoming the participants, stressing the importance of such meetings in aligning international efforts, supporting dialogue and understanding and promoting a culture of tolerance and peace, on which the Council is working through its international parliament, which includes more than 85 countries and the General Assembly for Tolerance and Peace, which combines the efforts of educational organizations, international organizations and individuals with the aim of raising the values of tolerance and achieving peace in the world.
