Global Council for Tolerance and Peace Office Holds Meeting in the Comoros to Discuss Ramadan Initiatives Promoting Tolerance
The Global Council for Tolerance and Peace held a meeting yesterday at its office in the Union of the Comoros, dedicated to discussing a number of community initiatives aimed at promoting the values of tolerance, coexistence, and the consolidation of humanitarian principles.
The meeting took place from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and featured in-depth discussions on the role of Ramadan initiatives in fostering a culture of tolerance and strengthening positive social bonds within the community.
Participants expressed their appreciation and gratitude for the efforts of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, emphasizing the humanitarian significance of these initiatives and expressing hope that they will be counted among righteous deeds for the noble values they embody.
The meeting resulted in an agreement to organize a large communal iftar during the holy month of Ramadan, to be held within an educational and humanitarian framework.
The iftar will be followed by a guiding conference led by prominent religious leaders in the country, focusing on promoting the values of tolerance and fraternity and drawing inspiration from the shared ethical and humanitarian principles advocated by enlightened religious teachings.
This meeting comes as part of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace’s ongoing efforts to support initiatives that contribute to entrenching a culture of tolerance and strengthening positive coexistence and mutual respect within societies.
